Facilitate the implementation of CT in the centers by reducing the specific “XNUMXRM” training! "The person presenting the vehicle is authorized to enter the control zone at the invitation of the controller to help the latter to handle the vehicle in compliance with the safety instructions of the control installation and instructions given par the controller being controlled" , specifies the order.
Maybe it's April Fool's Day.....
Concretely, the date of the inspection of category L vehicles will depend on the age of the vehicle. The first to have to carry it out are those registered before XNUMX: they must then carry it out in XNUMX.
“For vehicles put into circulation before January a period of four months from April XNUMX, XNUMX,” adds the order. The drivers concerned will have from April to mid-August to carry out their technical inspection.
Then, vehicles registered between XNUMX and the end of XNUMX will have to do it in XNUMX, and those registered between XNUMX and the end of XNUMX will have to do it in XNUMX. For those registered subsequently, between XNUMX and the entry into force of these provisions, April XNUMX, XNUMX.
The technical inspection must be carried out "within six months preceding the expiration of a period of four years from the date of their first putting into circulation", as this is provided for in the Highway Code.
The decree provides for the different points to be controlled:
Vehicle identification (License plates, serial numbers...)
Brake (Condition, hoses, master cylinder, linings or pads, drums, brake discs, cables, ABS...)
Direction (General condition, wheelhouse, handlebars...)
Visibility (Rétro viewfinders)
Lights - reflective devices and electrical equipment (Headlight, brake lights, indicators, license plate lighting, etc.)
Axles, Wheels, Tires and Suspensions (Wheel bearings, wheels and tires, fork and shock absorbers, suspension ball joints, etc.)
Chassis and accessories (Frame, stand...)
Other materials
Nuisance (Exhaust, noise and polluting emissions, loss of liquids, etc.)
The technical control will lead to three possible results: A (validated), S (unfavorable result for major failure) and R (unfavorable result for critical failure). For cases in S , the technical inspection will be valid for two months to be able to carry out the repairs. On the other hand, in the case of R , validity is limited to the day of the check.
Last minute info: the insurers “Mutuelle des bikers”, AMV and "April Moto, inform that technical inspection is not a condition for application of their guarantees, and that with or without technical inspection, the vehicles remain insured and you will be compensated in the event of a loss.
