TUTORIAL How to change the ignition DERBI OR AM6

Ce tutorial aims at you help change the ignition from your 50 to box thanks to pics and explanations associated. In this example we used a motor Derbi Euro 3 but the disassembly procedure is similar on the motors Derbi Euro 2 as well as other mécaboîte engines like the Minarelli AM6, Suzuki or Morini.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR IGNITION ON A 50CC MOTORCYCLE

1) Remove the saddle. Remove the left front fairing. Depending on the model, the stator is not necessarily connected to the CDI box. Follow the stator wire to find the lug.

2) Disconnect the stator.

3) Disassemble the ignition cover.

4) Remove the candle.

5) Install the piston lock.

6) Loosen the ignition nut. Attention on engines Derbi there is a washer behind the nut, do not forget to remove it with a small magnetic screwdriver.

7) Install the flywheel.

8) If the steering wheel is struggling to come out with the flywheel, you just screw it and hit it with a hammer.

9) Loosen the stator.

11) Loosen the plate. Tip: If the screws are stuck or stuck, take an ax and tap it to loosen the screws.

11) Disconnect the stator.

11) Remove the stator from the motor.

11) Reassemble the new stator respecting the passage of the cables. Be careful to tighten the stator screws.

11) Reassemble the ignition rotor, remove the piston lock and replace the spark plug. Be careful, remember to put the ignition key.

11) Refit the ignition cover and the selector.

11) Reassemble the fairing.
