In this box, the taps are used to redo the internal thread of a part (engine casing thread, frame support, etc.). The tap is maintained with the tap holder which, as its name suggests, allows the tap to be held straight when repairing the thread. Dies are used to redo the external thread of a cylindrical part (screw, axis, stud...). The die holder is used to straighten and center the die to properly repair a thread.
