The company Gods is founded par Friedrich Wilhelm Goetze in 1887 in Burscheid, Germany. At the beginning of its activity, the company produced seals for steam valves.

Several years later, the company began producing rubber seals for engines.

Gods has been part of the Federal-Mogul group since 1997.

Today, Gods is one of the leading suppliers of piston rings and seals.
