Founded in 1981 in Austria, the company Viking is a specialist in motorized tools for green spaces. In 1992, the entire range of gardening tools was integrated into the Stihl group and Viking becomes a fully-fledged subsidiary. The company Viking, located in Langkampfen, Austria, is renowned STIHL Tirol since July 1, 2018.

The rebranding of Viking à STIHL fits into the broader context, car from 2019, all product lines Viking are now marketed under the brand STIHL.
