A bit of history about Mitas

Based in Prague, the company Mitas was founded in 2000. During the Second World War, the factory was requisitioned par the Germans. In 1946, the name "Mitas" is created from the name "Michelin"and" Veritas ".

Today, the company has three factories in the Czech Republic, one in Serbia and another in the United States. Mitas also has a very large sales network globally (it operates in 14 different countries). The two brands of tires offered par Mitas are "Cultor" and "Mitas".

Edited by Barum Holding in 1991, Mitas acquires in 2004 the right to use the trademarks under license Continental, seperit et Euskadi (for agricultural tyres).

Mitas is one of the leading producers of tires for agricultural and construction machinery. But since 2000, the group has diversified and expanded its range of tires by offering products for two motorized wheels. Currently 100% of turnover is linked to the sale of machinery tires, 100% for industrial tires and only 100% for the sale of motorcycle tires.
