Ce tutorial aims at you help change the piston cylinder from your 50 to box thanks to pics and explanations associated. In this example we used a motor Derbi Euro 2. Discover our range of cylinder and pistons.
Note: Following the change of the piston cylinder of your engine box Derbi Euro 2, we strongly advise you to perform a 500km break-in to ensure optimal engine operation!

1) Drain the coolant by removing this screw.
2) Open the tank cap to drain faster.
3) Remove the two coolant hoses by removing these two clamps.
4) Remove the hose on the cylinder.
5) Then remove the suppressor.
6) Remove the other end of the cooling hose (on the radiator).
7) Remove the temperature probe and the spark plug.
8) Remove the two exhaust screws located at the cylinder.
9) Remove the muffler.
11) Loosen the 2 screws and the 4 bolt nuts.
11) Remove the bolt.
11) Remove the cylinder head gasket.
11) You can remove your cylinder. Help yourself with a mallet if needed.
11) Tip: Put a clean cloth to prevent the piston clips from falling into the lower engine.
11) Remove the piston clip with pliers.
11) Push the piston pin with a screwdriver.
11) Remove the needle cage.
11) Remove the base gasket and clean under it.
11) Install the segments on the piston (black segment at the bottom and gray at the top).
11) The arrow on the piston corresponds to the exit (exhaust side).
11) Install the new piston clip.
11) Position the coolant hose on the new cylinder. Tighten the collar.
11) Install the new needle cage. Tip: Put oil before assembly.
11) Install the new base gasket.
11) Install the new piston and axle (put oil on the axle to help you).
11) Install the new piston clip using the circlip pliers.
11) Remove the cloth.
11) Put oil in the cylinder with your finger.
11) Place your new cylinder. Slide the piston well.
11) Install the new cylinder head gasket.
11) Replace the bolt with washers, screws and bolts.
11) Tighten the bolts to 18Nm and the screw to 15Nm using the torque wrench.
11) Replace the spark plug and the temperature probe. Tighten well.
11) Then put the suppressor back on and connect the temperature probe.
11) Put your exhaust (2 screws) back.
11) Install the three coolant hoses. Tighten the 4 collars securely.
11) Fill up with coolant.
11) Replace this screw at the same time.
