TUTORIAL TESTING A CIRCUIT BREAKER

Ce tutorial aims to explain how to test a circuit breaker. THE circuit breaker is an emergency mechanical part that disconnects the battery in case of a problem like fire or accident. As its name suggests, the circuit breaker breaks the electrical circuit.

HOW TO TEST A CIRCUIT BREAKER

1) The circuit breaker allows the power supply to the vehicle to be cut off simply by pulling on the cord.

2) Little reminder : A closed circuit lets current flow while an open circuit does not let it flow.

3) The goal is to know if the resistance present in the circuit breaker works.

4) If you test the good wires with the multimeter and it displays a value, it means that the resistance is functional, it is said that there is a continuity.

5) On the other hand, if no value is observed, then the circuit breaker is defective.
