TUTORIAL CHANGING YOUR WATER PUMP ON A TYPE ENGINE AM6 (GENERIC, KSR ...)
Ce tutorial aims at you help change the water pump from your 50 to box thanks to pics and explanations associated. In this example, it is a KSR type engine, GENERIC, HANWAY. Don't forget to order the right one water pump for your 50cc box.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR WATER PUMP (TYPE ENGINE AM6)
1) Remove your kick and kick stop.
2) Drain the oil from the gearbox, removing the drain screw.
3) Let the oil run into the drain pan.
4) Remove the bleed screw from the coolant tank.
5) Open the cap of the coolant tank to draw in air.
6) Let the coolant drain into the drain pan.
7) Loosen the hose clamps on the hose.
8) Remove the cooling hose.
9) Remove the oil pump housing (3 screws).
11) Remove the throttle cable.
11) Remove the oil pump (2 screw).
11) Unscrew the clutch cover (9 screws).
11) Use the mallet to remove the clutch cover.
11) Remove the cover of the water pump.
11) Remove the gasket and washer from the water pump.
11) Then remove the pinion.
11) and finally, remove the key from the water pump.
11) Remove the axle from the water pump. Watch out for the washer.
11) Remove the oil seal from the water pump.
11) Clean and install the new water pump oil seal. Help yourself if necessary with the hammer to drive it in properly
11) Position the new water pump shaft.
11) On the axle, install the washer, the key, the pinion, the second washer and the seal.
11) Put a new water pump housing gasket.
11) Replace the water pump cover.
11) Replace the clutch cover by aligning the pinions. Remember to reposition the clutch housing gasket. It is desirable to take advantage of this operation to install a new clutch housing gasket.
11) Using the mallet, tap to properly position the housing.
11) Tighten the clutch cover (9 screws), tighten properly.
11) Tension the kick spring, and put the kick stopper.
11) Put the kick back.
11) Replace the oil pump (2 screw).
11) Reattach the throttle cable.
11) Replace the oil pump housing (2 screws).
11) Replace the bleed screw for coolant.
11) Replace the cooling hose.
11) Tighten the hose clamps.
11) Remove the clutch cover.
11) Remove the gear oil level screw.
11) Refuel the transmission oil. When the oil comes out of the level screw hole, the oil level is good.
11) Replace the transmission oil level screw.
11) Replace the clutch cover.
11) Top up with coolant.
