TUTORIAL CHANGING THE FRONT BRAKE PADS

Ce tutorial aims at you help replace front brake pads on your 50cc. The example presented here concerns the replacement of brake pads on a Yamaha DTR. The process remains identical on other brands and models as well as on scooters.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR FRONT BRAKE PADS

1) Remove the master cylinder cover.

2) Loosen the brake caliper and remove it from the disc.

3) Remove the clips or axles from the pads using the needle-nose pliers.

4) Remove the used pads. Clean the pistons and the inside of the caliper by spraying a brake cleaner. Use a clean cloth to remove residue.

5) Using the multi-grip pliers, push back the caliper pistons.

6) Place the new pads.

7) Replace the clips.

8) Reassemble the caliper to the disc and retighten the bolts.

9) Check the brake fluid level.

11) Operate the brake lever several times to bring the pads together.

11) Close the master cylinder.

Wear part, the replacement of the pads is easy to carry out. However, this requires precision and concentration.
