Materials choice

The main differences between grip models relate to the quality and flexibility of the rubber. More clearly, we generally find:

- Extra soft handlebar grips: comfortable, but very short life and high price.

- Soft handlebar grips: more longevity than the previous model while remaining comfortable, the right compromise.

- Standard handlebar grips: comfort is not always there, but they are very cheap and very resistant.

- Hard handlebar grips: you may be able to keep them for 2 years, but forget about comfort.

- Handlebar grips "custom": with drawings, very pretty on a moped but of no use on a competition motorcycle.

motorcycle grips

On a motorcycle cross (among others), the pet peeve of the pilot are the blisters that appear inside the hand, but also on the outer base of the thumb. To counter or slow down their formation, there are "donuts", small neoprene rings that are quite effective in use. Some manufacturers supply them with their handles, all the more reason to think twice when choosing.

Foam grips are made of high density foam as a replacement for standard grips. The foam grips help filter vibrations and therefore reduce the risk of tingling, numbness and blisters, especially on motorcycles that vibrate a lot.

Conclusion

To choose the right grips, you just need to know if you have an acceleration system par gas handle or trigger. It's simple, on all vehicles such as motorcycles, scooters and mopeds it is an acceleration par handful of gas. It is only on certain quads that we find a trigger.

Motorcycle type grips: inner diameter 22mm (left handle) and 25mm (right handle)

Trigger type grips: 22mm inside diameter for both
