A little history on Beringer

The company Beringer started its activity in 1985. At the time, Gilbert Beringer, a sidecar road rally driver, wanted to manufacture a range of wheels and balancer forks for his vehicles under the brand name ORION.

In 1989, the company becomes SARL, the complete manufacture of sidecars on the basis of type motorcycles Guzzi, Ducati, Yamahaâ € ¦ begins.

In 1990, Beringer decides to develop cast iron discs to counter the monopoly of Brembo.

In 1993, in order to be able to focus on the development of brake systems, Beringer separates from the manufacture of sidecars.

1997 will be marked epar the development of a branch of studies and production of disc braking prototypes for any vehicle (bicycle, motorcycle, quad, car, plane, etc.).

From 1999 to 2001, the company evolves and becomes an SA. In collaboration with the company Carbon Industry, Beringer carries out the study and then the manufacture of brake calipers for the Formula 1 and team the teams Ferrari et Cheers durant 3 saisons.

Between 2002 and 2005, the activity of Beringer expands with the study of a range of wheels and brakes for aviation.

In 2005, the activity for aviation begins with the signing of a contract with the German company Lange Aviation, glider manufacturer. This same year, the range of brakes extends from the bike of trail and mountain biking but also quads. The cycling sector comes to a halt fairly quickly for lack of success.
