A little history on Motorex

Motorex is the largest Swiss company, producing different types of lubricants and cleaners.

The business Rex, initially specializing in the manufacture of care products for leather and floors, was founded in Bützberg in 1917. In 1938, the move from Bützberg to Landenthal in the first building of the company in the current industrial zone.

In 1947, the new brand Motorex replaced Rex, developing, producing and distributing lubricants and chemical-technical products. Initially, an average of a fûtpar day has been sold.

Today Motorex is the largest Swiss manufacturer of lubricants and has more than 350 qualified employees. It distributes its products in more than 80 countries. The global success of the brand has been achieved and developed par a targeted search and a huge force of innovation. The company has various ISO certifications and constantly strives for consistent quality assurance at all stages of the process. Customer needs are, as always, at the center of the business.

The company has 200 representatives andrangers worldwide and, in 2010, turnover amounted to around 200 million Swiss francs.
