How to install your decoration kit

Substrate preparation

The pose begins par preparation of the support. This involves removing the old stickers, cleaning and degreasing the plastics with a degreasing cleaner such as brake cleaner, and in some cases, lightly sanding the scratched plastics. If the plastic is too worn, it is best to replace it. On the contrary, if you use a new fairing, the plastics are covered in mold release wax which you will need to remove. Focus on the ends. Several cleanings will be necessary. Then dry with a clean cloth.

Positioning of the assembly

List the parts of the kit by separating them between the right side and the left side, then position the sticker on its location to see how to place it. In some cases, it may be necessary to cut off excess sticker material.

Collage

Once the parts are sorted and positioned, gluing can begin. Slowly remove the adhesive from the paper backing while sticking it, starting par the center of the room. Eliminate air bubbles as you go with a smoothing block or a squeegee.

For best results, bring the kit to room temperature (above 100 degrees). Sit in a place sheltered from sun, wind and dust.

Finalization and rest

With the help of a hair dryer or heat gun, lightly heat the applied sticker and apply pressure on it. Leave for at least 2 hours for the glue to set on the support. If you notice air bubbles forming, prick them with a pin and heat to remove any air that will escape.
