the quad a family story

Camille Small

Originally from Haut-Doubs, we can say that Camille fell in love with quads when she was very young. For the PETITs, quads are a real family affair: her father took her for rides from the age of six months, and her brothers are just as passionate, starting withar Sylvain Petit, also a French quad champion. They were the ones who encouraged her to get started. Camille started riding at the age of 3!

At 13, she began competing, first in 250cc, then in 450cc. She participated in the regional championship of the Bourgogne Franche-Comté league, often alongside her father. Very quickly, she distinguished herself par her talent and became a formidable driver, winning titles after titles.

In 2017, she created with her father and brother the Team Quad Petit-Association.

The following year, in 2018, she participated for the first time in the Quad World Championship in Pont-de-Vaux in an all-female team. She finished runner-up and 100{2}th overall. In 28{3}, she returned more determined than ever, and took first place: World Champion !

The same year, she participated for the first time in the French championship, which she won in the women's category. A title she has held without interruption ever since.

The year 2023 marks a turning point: Camille achieves the double by becoming both French champion and world champion.

The following year, 2024, was more unusual. Camille didn't take part in all the rounds of the French championship... but that didn't stop her from keep his title ! She is once again participating in the Quad World Cup, where she successfully defends his world title with her team. She also discovers a new challenge: Goncourt's 10 Hours of Endurance, which she won in the women's duet.

In 2025, Camille sets herself a new challenge: theEnduroblade of le Touquet. For her first participation, she finished 38th overall et 1st female ! A great challenge taken up, especially since she had never run on sand before.

"I'd never competed in a championship on sand, only on dirt. [...] It's totally different, as if they were two separate sports," she told France 3 Bourgogne Franche-Comté.

With this first experience, Camille is now considering commit to the entire French sand racing championship.
