Necessary material:
1) Remove the fixing lugs from the headlight plate.
2) Disconnect all plugs.
3) Remove the headlight plate.
4) Remove the mudguard (2 screw).
5) Remove the brake caliper using the socket wrench (2 screw).
6) Loosen the front wheel axle nut (1 nut and 1 washer).
7) Loosen the fork leg screw.
8) Remove the front wheel axle and the wheel. Pay attention to the hub spacer.
9) Loosen each side of the top tee.
11) Remove the steering column nut.
11) Remove the top tee.
11) Remove the steering column dust cover.
11) Remove the fork tubes.
11) Remove the nut and seal from the steering column.
11) Remove the bottom tee with the mallet.
11) Remove the column bearings starting at par the one at the bottom.
11) The column tube will leave at the same time as the bearing.
11) Repeat the operation for the top bearing.
11) Remove the top bearing.
11) Install the first bearing, starting at par the bottom one. Use a mallet and the old bearing to avoid damaging the new one.
11) Replace the column tube.
11) Position the other column bearing. Use the mallet to push the bearing in well.
11) Replace the bottom tee. Apply grease to the axle.
11) Replace the seal and the steering column nut. Check mobility. Tighten the nut.
11) Replace the steering column dust cover.
11) Replace the top tee.
11) Reposition the fork tubes. Screw back on the lower and upper tee.
11) Replace the steering column screw, tightening vigorously.
11) Replace the steering column tube cover.
11) Tighten the fork tubes at the top tee. Check the mobility of the management.
11) Replace the wheel axle, having lubricated it with grease and the wheel. Remember to reconnect the odometer. Do not forget to replace the hub spacer. Tighten the nut securely.
11) Tighten the fork leg screw.
11) Replace the brake caliper. Check the mobility of the wheel.
11) Replace the mudguard.
11) Reconnect all the plugs on the headlight plate.
11) Reposition the headlight plate.
11) Fix the headlight plate with the fixing lugs.
After 200 kilometers, the bearings may still have settled slightly. Remember to check the play of the column.
