Get well equipped for the quad

Helmet homologated for quad

Wearing a helmet is compulsory for the driver and his passenger. The helmet must be homologated (ECE white label or NF green label). He must be attached.

Many brands of motorcycle and scooter equipment offer very good gloves and especially of irreproachable quality. You can therefore opt for a high-end pair which will last longer but will cost you more or for a rather entry-level pair, certainly cheaper, but which will have to be changed more often. The lifespan of a pair of gloves is difficult to calculate, it all depends on how often and how you use them. Passengers must also be equipped with approved gloves.

When driving an unbodied motor quadricycle you must have a high visibility vest on you or in a storage compartment of your vehicle.

Essential but not mandatory equipment

Quad shoes and boots

No question of riding in sandals or light sneakers or rubber boots. Directly exposed to branches and projections, your feet must be protected. It is strongly recommended that you equip yourself with shoes or boots dedicated and designed for motor sports. A good pair of boots, motorcycle or hiking, will do the job perfectly. Covering clothes

Choose covering clothes (trousers and long sleeves) and resistant; they shouldn't tear on your first quad crash. The ideal would be motorcycle pants, with reinforcements at the knees and at the level of the seat. A windproof and waterproof jacket seems to be the minimum.
