A little history about Bridgestone

Originally, the founder of Bridgestone, Shojiro Ishibashi, was a manufacturer of traditional rubber soles. He develops his first tire in 1930 and creates the following year the company Bridgestone whose name comes simply from the literal translation of its name in English meaning "stone bridge".

Today, Bridgestone is with Michelin, the world leader in the tire industry. A brand with a turnover of around 16 500 million euros and which employs more than 144 000 professionals in its more than 200 companies distributed in 23 countries.

The group Bridgestone owns the following brands: Firestones, Bridgestone, Seiberling, Road King, Gillette, Peerless or Dayton.

The company collaborates with manufacturers like Honda, Toyota et Yamaha. Bridgestone is recognized for its collaboration with the organizers and participants of many races, including Formula 1. Between the 2007s and 2010s, the Japanese brand was a one-stop tire supplier for prestigious races. Bridgestone won seven championships with the team West McLaren – Mercedes and Ferrari.

The range of tires BattleCross stands out par the use of technology specific to Bridgestone : the Castle Block. This is an extra block, molded inside the rear tire lugs, very identifiable when you have the tire in front of you. The goal is to gain traction without compromising the life of the tyre.
