It is essential that you you check the type of drive train you need before ordering. On mopeds we find mostly 415 (width 4.5 mm, center distance 12.7mm). All the parts of the kit namely the pinion, the chain and the crown must imperatively be same type.

To mount a chain with a split link you just need multigrip pliers and perhaps a flat screwdriver. If you need to shorten it you will need a chain splitter. To avoid that count the number of links needed to order the right length.
