The oil in my 50cc PEUGEOT has the texture of mayonnaise

This texture indicates the presence of water in engine oil:

â†' Check for microcracks on the cylinder head gasket and on the edge of cylinder .
â†' Check it out expansion tank. If oil floats on the surface, the cylinder head gasket no longer fulfills its function.
â†' Check it out lip seal of water pump .

When the engine is at operating temperature, the cracks open and let the combustion gases escape into the liquid, which creates an overpressure in the cooling circuit. Have the cylinder head checked or even replaced.

Mayonnaise Problems On Your 50cc PEUGEOT Motorcycle

If your motorcycle is only used for short trips, or if it is stored in a cold and damp place, there is logically condensation. So presence of water in the oil, hence emulsion and mayo. Take a ride to get the engine up to temperature, if it's condensation, the water will evaporate as the oil heats up and the mayo will disappear.

In some cases, water and oil can then meet:

- If the cylinder head gasket burned.

- As the cooling circuit is under pressure, it is the water which will tend to infiltrate towards the oil circuit or the crankcase, or towards the cylinder , and not the reverse.

- If the cylinder head or cylinder block is cracked. You only see that after an accident, or after driving for a really long time with the cooling system failing.

- Possibly behind the water pump , crankcase side.

Emulsified oil loses much of its lubricity, causes internal corrosion and must be drained and replaced.ar new oil as well as the oil filter if your boxed motorcycle has one.

How do I prevent oil deterioration on my 50cc PEUGEOT motorcycle?

Mayonnaise in the engine will reduce engine life. So if you want to keep your engine running smoothly and maximize the life of your vehicle, you need to prevent this from happening.

To avoid the deterioration of the oil, it is necessary:

1) Regularly check the oil and coolant to quickly identify any leaks.

2) Check the tightness of the plugs filling cans in order to be able to replace the plugs damaged.

3) Carefully inspect the cylinder head gasket and the cylinder head and replace them if defective.
