Spark plug thread repair ring for cylinder head

Thread insert compatible with all engine cylinder heads with spark plug thread of diameter 14 mm. The 14mm thread is mainly used on the cylinder heads of 2 stroke engines.
This insert is used to repair the thread of your spark plug on the cylinder head of your engine. You will have to drill the thread of your cylinder head to 16.5 mm and then rethread it to 18 mm to insert the threaded ring. Once the modification has been made, you can tighten your spark plug as originally.

Repair and assembly steps

• Remove and clean your cylinder head
• Drill the damaged thread straight to 16.5 mm
• Tapping a 18x1.50mm thread
• Blow and clean everything
• Insert the ring with a gasket between the cylinder head and the insert
• Tighten the ring using a 22mm wrench or socket (you can put a drop of thread lock on the thread before blocking the assembly)
• Check if the insert does not protrude (so as not to touch the piston)
• Blow and clean the assembly again before reassembling the cylinder head on your cylinder
• Tighten and check the tightness of your spark plug
